Description:
Dennis and Beverly Marshall own a lovely hillside property of almost two acres approximately two miles from the shoreline and almost one thousand feet above sea level. The town of Ceiba is the nearest neighbor and Fajardo is fifteen minutes driving time. The view looks from the northwest through a rich green valley, to the peaks of El Yunque National Forest, which is a fabulous rain forest. As the eye moves eastward, one looks out over a group of small offshore islands and cays, the coast-line and the largest marina in the Caribbean, Marina Puerto del Ray. To the south and southeast are the islands of Culebra and Vieques, and on a clear day you can see the hills of St. Thomas. The waters of Vieques Sound and the Atlantic Ocean range from emerald green to indigo blue.
On the beautifully landscaped grounds of the estate and below Dennis and Beverly's villa, there are four completely furnished vacation apartments. Two are efficiencies with a private bedroom and bath, living room, kitchen combination. The sofa makes to an extra bed. The full kitchen is complete with cooking utensils and dishes and the living room has cable television and phone. There's even an ironing board and iron. There are covered outside patios with table and chairs plus gas bar-b-ques for out side cooking. The other units are studios with all of the above accommodations, less a private bedroom and full kitchen. They feature a sitting area and televison with a pull-out sofa. The mini-kitchen has a small refrigerator, a microwave, electric skillet and coffee pot. All of the units have ceiling fans plus A/C for the occasional dog days, although the constant trade winds keep everything nice and cool.
There are several first class golf courses in the area, wonderful beaches, scuba diving tours, snorkeling excursions, and local fishing. Many restaurants as well as hotels and casinos are just minutes away....this includes the El Conquistador hotel and resort which welcomes visitors to its facilities.
The regional airport for connections to the local islands, or onto the islands further down the chain is nearby and ferry's also run locally to Culebra and Vieques. There's alot to do here and Casa Marshall is an affordable way to experience it all.
